Welcome to Carroll Children’s Center! We are delighted to have you as a new patient and look forward to a long, wonderful relationship with you. We are committed to providing you with the best medical care and the most courteous service.

For All Visits

Please do not forget to:

  • Schedule an appointment (contact us online or call 410-848-4424).
  • Bring a current immunization record and any medications your child is currently taking.
  • Bring all relevant medical information (ex. discharge paperwork for newborns, ER & hospital visits).
  • Bring current insurance information and co-pay.
  • Ensure the doctor listed as your PCP (for HMO) is a Carroll Children’s Center doctor.
  • Be on time and come early if your insurance or demographic information has changed or it is your first visit to Carroll Children’s Center.

Initial Visits

The first time you visit CCC; there are some forms you must fill out prior to being seen. To make the process of filling out forms as painless as possible, we have put all our new patient forms on our website. If you have internet access, please download and print the forms off our website so you can fill out the paperwork in the comfort of your own home. If you are unable to fill out the new patient forms before you arrive at our office, please come thirty minutes prior to your appointment so that you will have ample time to complete the forms.

Newborn Visits

On the day of your baby’s hospital discharge, please schedule an appointment for a newborn follow-up visit. This is usually occurs one to three days after discharge (unless your doctor advises differently). Appointment slots are always reserved for newborn babies.

Sick Visits

Sick care at Carroll Children’s Center includes evaluation and treatment of any routine pediatric medical condition. Examples of these appointments would be evaluation of ear pain, sore throat, cough, wheezing, rash and abdominal pain. We will do our best to schedule these appointments with your primary provider but you may also be offered an appointment with another physician, physician assistant or pediatric nurse practitioner in the office. Since these appointments are for acute issues, your child’s appointment will be scheduled for the first available appointment that day in order to accommodate all children who need to be seen.  We offer cryotherapy (freezing) for warts, nebulizer treatments for acute respiratory disease, and intramuscular antibiotics.  Our in house labs include:  rapid strep tests, dip stick urinalysis, flu testing, glucose screen, RSV testing, and more.

Please contact our office for an appointment as soon as you think your child might need to be seen. If you need help determining if you should wait it out at home or get checked, please call early in the day so that we can guide you through the decision making process.  Our nurses are trained in pediatric triage protocols and are a great resource — try them!  We will advise you on urgency and possible home treatments.  Utilize this website as well — see our self-help list of conditions and treatments on the homepage and our links to other helpful sites under the “Patient Resources” tab. 

On Saturdays our hours are 8:30am until 11am for emergency appointments only. Please call ASAP to speak to make sure that you receive an appointment. Your provider for these appointments will vary depending on availability.

If a problem occurs after hours and it can’t wait until morning, we’ve got you covered.  After hours care is handled by our team of providers and also our partnered covering physicians as well (Dr. Rosner in Taneytown, Dr. Gonzalez in Sykesville, and Dr. Ramos in Marriottsville).

Office Policy on Tardiness and Rescheduling

Carroll Children’s Center endeavors to provide timely and convenient service. Patients who come late, unprepared, or without an appointment inconvenience those patients who are on time, prepared, and call in advance to schedule an appointment. Broken appointments represent a cost to us, to you and to other patients who could have been seen in the time set aside for you. If you have an appointment and you cannot make it, please contact us 24 hours prior to appointment to either cancel or re-schedule your appointment. If you know you will be at least 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, please call us and let us know (the visit may need to be rescheduled depending upon the provider’s schedule that day). This will enable us to see patients as timely as possible.
Excessive abuse of scheduled appointments may result in discharge from the practice.
